Wearing Compound Matabro
MATABRO is a mixed compound made of special epoxy resin and very hard ceramic sapphire beads from alumina with a high hardness. The beads are firmly held, and suspended in the compound by the resin. It absorbs wear with a maximum efficiency.
MATABRO is obtained by mixing two measures of resin and one of hardener. You need only to mix the required quantity and the containers can be closed until next use.
MATABRO wearing compound is spread with a trowel or a spatula even on the most difficult application areas. It will fit to any shape such as cones, elbows, etc..
Curing time is about 30 to 45 minutes. MATABRO is ready for use within 3 or 4 hours at 20°C, but by heating the metal with any source, hardening time will be shortened to one hour.
Laboratory test have shown that MATABRO® is 4 to 6 time more resistant to abrasion than Ni-Hard cast iron. Its resistance approaches the very well known ceramics.
MATABRO® wearing compound chemically resistant to water, solvents and most acids. It also acts as a corrosion inhibiting coating to stop rusting.
